Keep Showing Up: Why the Conversation Doesn’t Stop Here

Keep Showing Up: Why the Conversation Doesn’t Stop Here

This month, we opened up a little more than usual.

We talked about the mental health struggles too many men face—and the silence that often surrounds them. We shared the numbers. We shared our space. And we even shared a personal story or two.

If you’ve stuck with us through it—thank you.
And if you’re just tuning in now—welcome.

Because this isn’t just a one-month focus. It’s part of who we are now.

Mental Health Isn’t a Trend—It’s a Lifeline

At Overholt Supply Co., we’re all about quality goods, handmade gear, and supporting Texas makers. But at the core of it all is this belief:

Men need a place to belong. A place to breathe. A place to be heard.

We built this shop to be that place. And we’re not done.

Where We Go From Here

We didn’t post this intentionally during “Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.”
We posted this because men’s mental health is a 24/7/365 thing.

We’re not here for one-off awareness posts and call-it-good campaigns. We’re here because this matters year-round.

What that looks like:

  • Space to Sit
If we are open, the lounge is open. If we aren't open but you still need a place shoot us a message. If we are in the area we'll come in if not, we'll still be there on messenger and we will delete our talk if you'd like when we're done. Talk. Or don’t. We’re here either way.

  • Ongoing Conversation
We’ll keep posting reminders, resources, and real talk all year long. Because healing doesn’t run on a calendar.

  • Real Stories
You’ll hear more of our story, and hopefully, some of yours. We're building a community that supports each other, not just sells to each other.

  • Encouragement Without the Fluff
No toxic positivity here. Just honest conversations and support when you need it.

If You're Struggling, Here's What We Hope You Remember

  • You're not broken.

  • You're not weak.

  • You’re not alone.

There’s no shame in asking for help—only strength. Whether it’s professional counseling, peer support, or just walking into the shop and sitting down with someone who gets it—we want you to take that first step.

Because healing doesn’t start with grand gestures. It starts with showing up.

One Final Thing

If this month’s posts spoke to you, tell someone.
Forward them. Share them. Or better yet—use them as an excuse to check in on a buddy.

Sometimes, the simplest “You good?” goes further than we think.

We’re here.
We’re listening.
And we’re damn glad you’re part of this with us.
