Hunter's Moon 2-Pack
Shorter days. Longer thoughts. Good paper.
Field Notes’ 72nd Quarterly Edition, Hunter’s Moon, pairs a ruled journal with a blank sketchbook for Fall 2026. At 4.75" × 7.5", these larger books give your writing and drawings a little more room to wander.
Artist Laura Weiler created the dreamlike cover artwork in her Kalamazoo, Michigan studio using gel-plate monoprinting—a process that layers collaged images, inks, and paints before transferring them to paper. Inspired in part by Ted Kooser’s poem “Abandoned House,” the artwork stretches across the two covers as a coordinated pair.
Inside, each book contains 48 pages of premium Mohawk Superfine Warm White paper. One has light ochre rules for journaling; the other leaves the page open for sketches, studies, and whatever you meant to draw before it turned into something else.
Put the kettle on. Find a comfortable chair. Give the screen a night off.
